Overview:
Lesson 1S provides an introduction to various issues across Scotland and the UK by using newspaper articles and encouraging discussion amongst the class. This then leads onto a brief introduction to the census, what type of questions are asked and some of the controversy that surrounds it. You are encouraged to work within groups, think about your views on the subject and listen to others’ opinions. As homework for each lesson you will contribute towards your own blog covering the main points of the lesson and your opinions on the topics you have covered.
